Title: How to remove button labels on 802 draw and hold Post by: Jeff99 on August 18, 2011, 02:09:54 AM Hi,
The 802K which Barry help me identify a few months back is on the work bench. When I got the machine someone had changed the door to a 742A door. I finally found a draw and hold door on ebay. Now I have the proper reel frame, buttons and wiring harness. Unfortunately the frame needs to be rechromed. Got the buttons off with no problems and expected the button labels to follow. Well the lab are actually molded plastic that fits the frame's grooves like a glove. I need to take these labels off and save them to reapply. Has anyone successfully removed these? Thanks, Jeff Title: Re: How to remove button labels on 802 draw and hold Post by: proten on August 18, 2011, 02:49:01 AM Heat will soften the glue.
Heat the back side not the plastic pieces you are trying to remove. Title: Re: How to remove button labels on 802 draw and hold Post by: Jeff99 on August 18, 2011, 02:51:50 AM :131-
Thanks, a heat gun should do the trick and not mess up the casting. You wouldn't know what glue Bally used? Thanks Jeff Title: Re: How to remove button labels on 802 draw and hold Post by: proten on August 18, 2011, 03:00:47 AM No idea what glue they use.
I would use contact cement as it would stay rubbery for a long time. Title: Re: How to remove button labels on 802 draw and hold Post by: Jeff99 on August 18, 2011, 10:13:33 PM Thanks worked great. Took a heatgun to the back and they were easy to gently pry up.
