Title: Bally 5500 Coin Cpmparitor Post by: jdkmunch on January 03, 2009, 08:03:03 PM Is there a way to clean or test the coin camparitor for the 5500? I tried to reseat the quarter and they still drop out. If I turn the slot off and back on it will work for maybe 3 or 4 quarters and then start dropping them again.

I tried turning it all the way back but all coins still drop back. Should the green light be on? The green light on the comparitor is off and there is an amber light on a little board below it that is on.

This let me position the quarter exactly the right spot so it would work!! - I think when I would slam the door shut it would move the quarter? I don't know but now I close the door as if not to wake the baby and it works! :103-
