WOW that restoration looks nice!! :131- :3- :3- :259-
Did you actually get all 10 stations working?

I remember playing that machine in Reno back in the day. I never played it much because it didn't seem to pay that well, but I loved the novelty of it. I think it took the record for being the most quarter-hungry machine in the casino at the time. :5- :71-  If I recall, one could bet as much as 20 coins per quinella and could place a wager on every combination in one race, which was a max bet of 200 coins if one were silly enough to do so – and there were no bill validators in those days. :97- :97-

You can post larger pictures if you want (hint).

Love this machine.  Wanted one for many years.  Now it's in my garage.  7 staions work perfectly.  2 have a probelm with the staion board and I ordered the suspect chips.  One staion board is missing and I cannot find it anywhere.  I hat a 4000 coin win 20 x 200 to 1 the other day and posted it on NLF.  Here it is again.

If I recall correctly, the races go off regardless of whether anyone bets or not, 24/7. It doesn't even pause if someone is putting coins into the game or is in the process of betting credits on different outcomes. Once the horses finish coming around for the start it locks out new bets and start the race, although I'm pretty sure it has a warning that the bets are closing. The odds change for every race and some races have higher long shot bets than others.

One thing I can't remember is in which casino(s) I saw it. :103-

You are correct, the races run no matter if anyone bets but the horses always finish in 1-2-3-4-5 order it this case.
There is a 30 second timer in the cenetr of the race course that lets you know when betting is over.  Odds change every race.  The only casino I know currently is MGM in Vegas.

The Imperial Palace had one til about seven-eight years ago. It was upstairs at the entrance of the sports book. As a former race horse trainer I loved it!! Lots of fun.
The Windsor Casino, across the river from Detroit, had a huge one. It had little minicams mounted on the racing field and they had screens showing the horses coming at you. Very cool!
Glad to see you got it going. A real piece of history!  :244-

ADDED; a link to a pic of the Windsor Casino Derby Mark VI. Think it is gone now? Anybody know?

My Mark III C-15 machine is a major work in progress but it gives me something to do.  Yes, lots of space.  My wife made me clean up my garage, carpet the garage and put it there.  Now she won't stop playing it along with all the rest of the family !!!!! Thank god there are 7 working stations !!!!

The Mark VI is a beautiful machine.  Great photo.  Thanks !!!!! :3-

Casino Montreal has Royal Ascot Horse Racing, same concept. The stations are detached however.

Wow, awesome!  I love Sigma Derby.  Do you know where your machine came from?  Does it have the overhead marquee/canopy?

First off very cool!  I want one!

I remember playing the one in Montreal for hours it was great.

Anyone remember the one from the Luxor about 8 years ago, the cool thing with that one was it was camels.  Last time I went to Vegas it was gone so I asked the bartender who looked like she worked there a long time and was by the machine where it was.  She told me it was now in a museum in India.
