Title: 3902 to 044 Post by: zarobhr on August 28, 2011, 12:10:29 AM can a machine that uses 3902 be easily converted to 044
Title: Re: 3902 to 044 Post by: Tilt on August 28, 2011, 12:51:43 AM Yes, it's easy on a 17" upright game, but not real cheap. You have to install a new motherboard (backplane), and the MPU board w/software. I recently upgraded my GK to a 044 board w/GK 6.2. It took longer to configure the software then it did to install the hardware :89-.
ETA: I'm not sure it's possible to upgrade older 13" & 19" (non plus) Game king cabinets Title: Re: 3902 to 044 Post by: Yoeddy1 on August 28, 2011, 01:01:55 AM I'll definitely be doing this sometime. What's a ballpark cost these days?

Pricing for a complete set up will run you between $700 to $850 depending upon whether you want to buy at "as-is not tested no warranty" risk from Ebay or a Dealer "tested working with warranty". |
