Title: Getting quarters to always go to the hopper Post by: ss4osu on August 28, 2011, 08:16:10 PM I have noticed that when I begin playing, the first few quarters go to the hopper, then I hear a noise and future coins start to drop through to the bottom of the machine, is the hopper too full?

Possible. You need to look in the hopper and see if the probe on the side is touching the coins. That will trigger the diverter. Depending on where the probe is, you can move it to a higher hole. Or The diverter past the coin optics (not the coin comparitor diverter) is not aligned properly and coins are dropping to the overflow. See the picture below. There is a pin that holds the whole coin assembly in place and if it's not latched or if something is bent, it can cause some coins to go the wrong way. If this is for home use and the hopper is not ever full, you can always tie the diverer in place (to go into the hopper). |
