Title: S2000 themes that blow
Post by: Yoeddy1 on August 30, 2011, 04:22:58 AM
Which of the many many S2000 themes out there rub you the wrong way?  Whatever reason.  Crappy sound, poorly designed strips, glass, gameplay, whatever.

For me, my a couple of mine are Cigar and Phantom of the Opera.  No backlit strips and the sounds just grind my nerves.  Also with Phantom, no colored BAR symbols...pretty boring.

For me it's the Crystal Sevens. Everything shows through the glass and it's a tight bitch on payouts. Would rather have a triplebdouble wild cherry instead :89-

See? That's why they have so many games. You can't please everyone. Crystal Sevens is one of the prettiest games they made, IMO. I also love the sounds. It has to be "tight" in the short-term because of the 7x and 49x payouts – in other words: it's volatile.

This is a highly subjective question.

Anyone else out there think "Hundred or Nothing" ought to be on Jason's list? :200-

P.S. If I ever get a Crystal Sevens, it better have those frosted stars on it!!  :37-   No scraping and replacing for me! :72- :72- :72-

Ones I don't like....just sat and thought about this for 5 minutes  :186- ...actually there is not one title that I would say "blows"...they are all fun in their own way and appeal to different people for different reasons.  Most common choice by my clients...."the one they hit big on in the casinos".

From a 'design' perspective, I've never been interested in White Stars either.  Looks too plain.
Crystal Sevens however, is in my top 5 favorites.  :)

I'm not saying the Crystal Sevens is a "bad" game. Just as far as owning it, with my limited space, it wouldn't make the top 25 list. And ALL games are "no payin' bitches" :97- by the way. Some are just more entertaining while they're not paying is all. This ones just not for me...

Big Times Pay was my first S2000.  It lasted a few months, but I eventually grew tired of it.  Not so much the design or gameplay, but the legacy sound limitation.  If there were BTP themed spin sounds to choose from, I would have collected more of the 3 reel+bonus reel games.  Plus these seemed to be part of the non-washable strip era.  I don't think I've seen one around with nice strips.

Legacy sound does not bother me personally and some can argue that the enhanced spin reel sound can become just as annoying after awhile.  Some of my favorite S2000 games in my personal collection have only partial enhanced sound....titles like Super Times Pay "Free Spins" and Super Mag 7's.  I love them for the action you get when you play.

I have 2 BTP's in my inventory...both have the newer washable strips and excellent condition with toppers....so they are available although rare to find I agree.  Also have 2 Super Mag's and although the strips aren't the washable kind they look very good...so good strips are available, you just have to go on the hunt for them.

I played a 128 stop game Ten Times Pay in a casino near me just over 10 years ago
they had a row of them on a linked progressive at the time. the progressive was about $60,000
the 2 or 3 machines I played over a about 30 day perio, hit for over $15,000 (1 @ $6000, 3 @ $3000, 2 or 3 times for $900) my bank roll each time was less than $500
all 3 CM
$6000 (double bar with 2 10x symbols)
$3000 (bar with 2 10x symbols)
$900 (triple bars with a 10x symbol)
I only donated 5-7% back each time I hit one those wins.
10 times is one of those that have fewer small wins but when it hits it usually hits big. I am sure they used about 92-94% setting so the progressive would bring it to 95%
