Title: Can you determine game chip number on S machine Post by: jbshocks on September 08, 2011, 09:03:53 PM I have an S machine and the label is missing from the prom. You can see where the sticker was but I can't find it in the bottom either. Is there a way to have an S machine (not S+) tell you the chip number or payout?
Follow up question can it be read with a prom reader? Is there cheap reader out there that would allow for back up and re writing prom chips. This machine appears to be 25 years old and I understand a prom has a 15-35 year life. Yes, you can backup the chip for safe keeping.
