If you have a volt meter check voltage in battery.
That way you will know if that's it. I don't think that is the problem since it was working
until you opened door while it was running.

When you turn it on do the reels cycle?
With it turned OFF make sure the MPU is in all the way.
MAKE SURE IT'S TURNED OFF WHEN YOU REMOVE & INSTALL THINGS.

It's the tray below the reels

If it doesn't cycle the coins will go through.
I hope you did not pull the board out with machine turned on.
Do you have any experience working on these games?
I have to leave for tonight. I'll check tomorrow & see how your doing.
If you were in my area (PA>) I could maybe check it out.

There are 4 buttons below on - off switch.
Make sure the white button in center are all in - that none are out
Check all your wires to make sure all connected.

You never reported the state of the battery.

If the battery is good and you've done what Ford suggested above (don't forget checking all of the connections), I'd start looking at the power supply. First (simple) thing to check are the fuse/breakers. Those are the four white buttons that he mentioned. It's possible that one or more of them are bad, even if they are pushed in. With the machine unplugged, check continuity with a volt meter. Then plug it in, turn it on, and check the PS outputs to see if all of the voltages are present.

Jody, did you check the volts in the battery?
The battery is on the board that slides out.
DON'T FORGET TO TURN MACHINE OFF BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING.
