that wire in the pic is conected to each side of the door....... whats it for? does it serve any purpose?? also in the sec pic that black conector  whats that for?  i was cleaning my machine and those 2 things got me curious..... :103- :103-

Those plugs go to a senet connection on the motherboard and are used on machines that have 663 displays with touch pad multidenom. Not sure what the longer black socket is for

so if i had touch pad id have to use that plug....... :103-the other wire im talken about is the silver one thats attached to the 2 screws by the door hinges...... :103-

The silver braided flat wire on the door hinge is for the ground...
Take one of the screws out...I DARE you!.... :79- :97- :72- :208-

lol! Sorry, that's a grounding strap. You probably already have a touch pad CAPABLE display, I'd have to see the rest of that panel all the way across to know for sure. Might just be a newer version of the vfd too. Push button multidenom and standard games tend to have the ribbon cable going to the interface board mounted next to the cabinet IO board and the green and red/black plugs go from that to the motherboard.

That long black plug I don't think is currently used for anything unless it's for a lines played display. The way your other two plugs hook into the vfd display indicates a vfd that's part of a touchpad capable display panel

thanks guys......see i learn something everyday......... :72- i did spray up my entire door hinge.......with 3-In-One 10041 Silicone Spray Lubricant......... no more sqweeks..... :89-  i just hope i didnt overspray the wires....... im letting it dry overnite.....

Other than making them a little slick the oil shouldn't do anything to the wires as far as hurting the plastic coating.

another thing i did that worked out was  :79- you ever get a sqweeky cashbox lever.....i sprayed that up with silicone now the cash box slides right in..... no more annoying sqweeky lever........every time i went to take the cash box out all i heard was SQWEEKi.........
