No, it's not that rare. I've seen Midas Touch in several different designs including a jumbo machine (big bertha) and what is called a novelty series machine which I have.
It was a popular game made by Universal. A 3-coin buy-a-pay that had a high frequency of wins. Of course they were little wins.

GREAT MACHINE!!! :131- :131- :131- :131- :131- :131- :131-

I remember playing Midas Touch while in the Caribbean (Jamaica) last year, it was a round top (25 CENT) and was a neat machine  :259-

I also live in the Caribbean during part of the year so these machines always catch my eye  :95-

A small casino operator in Jamaica still has 100+ plus Universals machines in actual casino operation, they were leasing them to Sandals Corporation (IE Beaches Resorts) a year or two back and around March of this year I counted 9 Universal's on the beach (including a Midas Touch flat top) still running just fine.

Also have seen old 60's/70's bally machines still in operation and even a Sigma Derby from MGM....

THESE UNIVERSALS ARE BUILT LIKE TANKS!!!  :79-
