Joey 4E34 is the right check sum.  I use a 97 clear chip.  Want me to send you a set of SG000363 and a 97 clear chip ??    :103- :103-

Joey  I had a bunch of machines with SG000155 game chips.  I started having a bunch of reel tilts, changed to SG000363 and everything is now OK.

Hi Joey,

I have SB100097 in my 504 revision A MPU with:
SG000363 Stepper GME 1&2 chips
VS011GX1 Version Chip

I clear and key it with a 97 clear chip and a 31 key chip.  I run the clear process about 3-4 times just to make sure everything is nuked, and then proceed with the rest of the setup. Works every time on my setup.

Did you run the clear and key procedure with the same SG/VS chips installed on the board as I had noted above using the same key/clear version chips that I had mentioned?  If you want Joey, I can attach the procedure that I use if it would help.

Thanks,
Jason

The reason that I ask if the key/clear procedure was done is because I've had experiences where I have been able to merely switch SB chips back and forth without having to perform a key/clear procedure and the games end up working and playing fine.  However, depending on the SB that is being switched, I have seen other circumstances that will throw up various errors on the VFD forcing me to perform a complete clear and key in order to get the game to work.  Not sure why...just the voodoo of the S2000 I guess.   :79-

I would also be curious if the SB100097 chip would work on another MPU as a last resort.  If other games are working on your current MPU, I would doubt the MPU is the issue.  I would think it's either the SB100097 chip that you are using, or all of the data has not been blown away causing the problems.

Anyway, I attached the procedure that I use if it helps.

Thanks,
Jason

FYI: You only need to do a clear one time. The RAM and EEPROM on the motherboard are not magnetic or optical drives or media.

Joey  I think the chip you posted is a piece of junk.   I have a 3 coin 3 reel Cristal 7s with a original SB100097 with a check sum 0C72  I put that chip in a different machine and it booted up.     :172-

I just checked both chips on my reader.
The SB100097 that you posted up is toast.
Something happened to the data after the OFFSET address line 55D0 to the bottom of the file.
It's displaying "0404" from that point onwards to the end....throw that file away. It's trash and corrupted.

As far as the SB100097 file with the checksum of OC72, that one looks fine as I read it in my programmer.
There are 9 different percentage PAR sheets associated with it from LS012585 >>to>> LS012593
I don't have of those sheets but you-know-who may be able to get them for you if you want.  :96-

Need I ask who you know who is? :5- :200- :279- Or shall I assume that I know who you refer to... :103- :208-

P.S. Joey has the S2K curse virus....... He hates them, if he encounters one he has to stick his screwdriver into an S+ as a vaccine! :97-

Now Capt...Who the heck you're thinking of?  :97- :208-
Hmm...reminds me of Abbot & Costello>>>"who's on 1st?"  :96-

Personally, it took me a awhile to get one...when I did get one -
I didn't "tinker" with it for another long while.
However, after some time - I couldn't take it anymore... :60- so I stripped it
and put it back together just to see what makes it tick!  :97-

I've been having a blast trying 3 reel w/bonus reel kits, 5 reel kits,
Vision LCD's, and other bonus stuff!!
I have more fun stripping the puppy down and putting it back
together as something different than actually playing the darn thing! lolololol!!!!

Joey,
Your machine running yet?

(I sound like a broken record...lol)

I just got back from helping someone with their S2000.
I will not mention any names, and do not ask!

Could not figure out why he kept getting no disp (on LED) even though the VFD was working, but would go blank now and then.
I was checking every thing, finally looked at the door wired and noticed that he had decided the wires for the VFD needed to be moved so the door hing would squeeze them severely when closed.
I moved the wires out of the hing, other than the 10 or so stacked errors I had to clear, machine works
