Title: Hang on - Things a about to get real bad in the US
Post by: proten on October 07, 2011, 02:15:42 PM

Here They Come...this will make your day!

Well, boys and girls, today the fox is guarding the hen house. The wolves will be herding the sheep!

Obama appointed two devout Muslims to homeland security posts.

Obama and Janet Napolitano appointed Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria, as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).

NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a 'devout Catholic," a "devout Jew" or a "devout Protestant"...?
Just wondering.

Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? Doesn't this make you feel safer already?? That should make our home land much safer, huh!?

Wasn't it "devout Muslim men" who flew planes into U.S. buildings 10 years ago?
Wasn't it a "devout Muslim man" who killed 13 at Fort Hood ?

Please forward this important information to any who cares about the future of our Country.

What has happened to common sence in the country?? Why don't we just make one a 4 star general in our arm services, or hand our top secret military plans while were at it?? I'm sure not looking forward to the rest of 2011-2012 till the elections.

Did anyone bother to look at the Snopes article?   :103-   This happened in 2009.  This isn't exactly "breaking news".

Seriously, the right-wing racism/homophobia/fear-mongering is tiresome.  (That's not directed at anyone here -- just the ones in power trying to create issues where none exist.)

“Today, I am proud to make two key personnel announcements for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS)—President Obama’s intent to nominate David Heyman as Assistant Secretary for Policy and my appointment of Arif Alikhan as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development. Both individuals bring a broad and impressive array of experience in national security, emergency preparedness and counterterrorism to the Department.

David comes from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where he founded and was Senior Fellow of the Homeland Security Program and led the Center’s programs on preventing, mitigating and responding to catastrophic terrorism and natural disasters. With more than 20 years of experience in government, the non-profit community and the private sector, he is a highly regarded expert in U.S. national security policy and international affairs.

Arif comes from Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa’s office, where he served as Deputy Mayor for Homeland Security and Public Safety. As a key adviser to the Mayor, he has led the City’s efforts to develop homeland security, emergency management and law enforcement initiatives, including operational oversight of Los Angeles Police, Fire and Emergency Management departments. He is a former federal prosecutor and senior advisor to the U.S. Attorney General, and has partnered extensively with local, state and federal agencies,” said Secretary Napolitano.
Biographies

Prior to joining CSIS, Heyman was Senior Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Energy from 1998-2001. Previously, he served as Senior Policy Analyst in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Division of National Security and International Affairs, from 1995-1998, and Director of International Operations at RGTI Systems, a leading firm in industrial automation and supply-chain management, from 1992-1994. Heyman is the author of numerous publications and an adjunct professor in security studies at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Policy. He completed his graduate work at The Johns Hopkins School of International Affairs and his undergraduate work at Brandeis University.

Before serving as Deputy Mayor, Alikhan was a career prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice from 1997-2006. During that time, he served as Chief of the Cyber and Intellectual Crimes Section for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles and as a Senior Advisor to the U.S. Attorney General in Washington, D.C., where he oversaw the national Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Program for the Department of Justice. Alikhan holds a J.D. from Loyola Law School and a B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.

Doesn't the Constitution or declaration of independence say that if the government is not serving the people the people should take control back and reestablish a government for the people by the people, just something to think aboutThat being said, The downfall of this country started when religion was taken out of everything!!!!! The state of Ohio is now fighting with the labor unions over Issue 5, where a Republican Governor took the so called rights of the unions to screw the government of Ohio for more money and drag the dead weight (those who get paid but don't work) along, the governor changed it to a merit based system which meant work and do something and you will be rewarded??????? The citizens in Ohio are being targeted by feeling out the political atmosphere for next November for our current dictator in chiefs reelection chances. We get several phone calls every day by unions trying to get us to support there option of the way I should vote, they spend big money to get Democratic persons elected to office, by using what they call dues to pay for political campaigns??? If we as a country don't stand up and fight for the values that this country was founded on, than we are no better and we better learn to speak another language because English will no longer be it!!!!! With this said I believe its our right to question why a few people who are being paid off to tell us the way we should do things??? If we do nothing or don't vote and speak you option then you better not compain what happens to the freedoms you used to have!!!!!!!! There may not be a best candidate but at least choose one who shares your beliefs and values!!!! Stand Up And BE Patriot!!!!!! Don't let the country go to Hell!!!! Just me 2 pissed off 2 cents worth!!!!!! :282-

Don't let the country go to Hell!!!!

It's already there... thanks to the systematic removal of the financial protections put in place after the Great Depression.

It will stay there as long as the heads of all these financial institutions that perpetuated the fraud are not held accountable and placed in prison along with the seizure of their ill-gotten gains. They took Bernie's money... they should also take money from the head of BofA and the head of every other financial institution that perpetuated the fraud then give them lengthy jail sentences.
