Title: Bally 5500 Mpu error 80 Post by: Hotrodslots69 on October 08, 2011, 12:34:31 PM I have tried to use reset chips on my bally 5500 and still get a error code 80, is a 80 error caused by the game software or the board software? :99- they are 960000 mains

If that doesn't solve the problem, I'd swap out the Mains with known good chips. If that doesn't solve it, then I'd try swapping the MPU board.

So it leads me to believe the personality chips are corrupt.
