Title: MK5, Assy NSW Denom
Post by: fonsolewis on October 13, 2011, 03:45:26 AM
Hello, I have the MK5 Aussy NSW software for the Aristocrat. Such as Queen of the Nile, Dolphin Treasure, Indian Dreaming, etc...

I need to place my games as a 0.10 (ten cent) denom, and can not.  The Setup Menu does not allow anything other than 0.01 (one cent)..

Is there a way that I can change my denom to 0.10 ?, if not, is there software available for those older MK5 NSW for a 0.10 denom?

Thanks in Advance.

You will need to find a version of the game which allows for ten cent denomination. Many of the 9 line games have a 10c option.

If you can't find a 10c version of your desired game it may be possible on the NSW MK5 games to force the machine to allow a 10c denomination, although this might not be the best for the board.

To do this you need to set up another game with a 10c denomination and insert some credit into the machine. Then turn the machine off and remove the game chips from the board and replace them with the game you would like to set at 10c. Replace the board and power up the machine. You should notice the static ram doesn't need resetting. In the game options, set your desired settings but DO NOT change the denomination. Save and you should find the game is a 10c game.

I found this by accident when I set up Penguin Pays after running a $1 game. The game allowed me to make bets of up to $100, however the minimum bet with all 20 lines was $20. Features would run normally at $100 until a total win of $10,000 was reached. After this the game stopped adding the credits.

The newer games probably won't work as you need to enter a different menu to reset these values.
