Title: Brand new Bally Cash Wizard- Tried headphones
Post by: reho33 on October 15, 2011, 02:17:35 AM
Last time I was at the casino, I saw that the Bally Cash Wizard had a small headphone jack in the lower left. The next time that I went I tried some ear buds and it worked! Someone next to me asked what I was doing and I said that I was trying out the headphone jack. That is the only slot that I have seen it on. Why would Bally put a headphone jack on a slot? Has anybody seen it on any other models and would the casino get upset if you wanted to use your own headphones?

I'm not sure about the casinos, but I think my wife would pay me to install jacks and use headphones on my machines :72-

I strongly advise against it...it causes one to get locked into their own little world... :200-

If you want to add a headphone jack to an S2000, it's pretty easy.
All you do is have the speaker output from the sound board in the topbox
to an audio plug and when ever you plug in your headphones -
it turns off the external speakers.
I'd really prefer to get a wireless combo though...  :184-
They weren't cheap back in the late 80's for electric guitars.

I agree with this.

They'd have to get upset at Bally if they're the ones that put the jack on the machine!   :89-

I think as long as you keep putting money in the machine, the casino doesn't care what you're doing.

 :72- :72- :72- A truer statement has never been written. :96- :96- :30- :30-  :56- :56- :56-

...Besides, can you imagine their chagrin (and the negative press) if they approached someone and told them to remove the headphones, and it turned out to be a hearing impaired customer?  :58-

I can understand the possible need for a headphone for the impaired and a slot machine -
but why in the world would a deaf person need it for an ATM?
I'm personally half deaf but only rely on what I see on the screen directly in front of me?

A blind person should not be operating an ATM machine...I mean, how in the world are they going to know someone's not peeking at the code their punching in over their shoulder?

Which brings to mind:  How does a blind person know when they're done wiping...you know...in the john?

I have always wondered about the drive up ATM machines that have Braille on them... :208- :208- :208-

As for the other stuff on Bunker's mind, I have no comment! :200- :97-

(Yes I know that there could be a blind passenger in the back seat, but that diluites the humor of my comment... )
