Title: Help Bally Night Rider SS pinball
Post by: lonnie on October 15, 2011, 02:02:31 PM
I have a Bally SS Night Rider Pinball and started having problems. I think it is in the plugs that plug into the top of the power supply. Couple have burnt spots on the white plug. Can you buy these new? I probably should clean with contact cleaner the pins they plug on to. I turned off machine unplugged the three plugs and pluged back in. Every thing worked again....Turned off later in the day my granson went to play it and it started like normal but then before he pushed the button to select one player the score shut off and he could not select one player etc. I powered off waited and turned back on pinball started as normal but after approx 5 seconds the score when off and select player would not work.... Any Idea what I should do?

Please?

Lonnie

Here is a good place to get just about any of the connectors you need.

If your power transformer board is badly burnt/damaged/seen better days, then you can also buy brand new replacement boards:

http://www.pin-logic.com/ (http://www.pin-logic.com/)

Tom Callahan has the "Direct Connect" (as he calls them) replacement boards.

Replace the pins on the board as well as the socket and the contacts inside the socket.

They make special crimpers to use with those connectors and I'd suggest getting one.

I have one of those crimpers, but I still always solder the wires to the connectors.
