Besides for the timings being off, you won't have sound since the 16Mhz board's sound is controlled with the software vice a volume knob. It takes a 16Mhz specific SP chip to do that. The SS3631 might work if it is 120ns or faster. Otherwise you will need a new one. You may also need a set chip if you don't already have one as swapping to a 16Mhz board may require it to be re-enabled. Any of the vendors listed here can help you get what you need.
