He should be able to get you the right chips. I have talked with some that have eproms but don't have the part numbers.
Title: Re: Determining and and changing eprom in a Bally 5000 plus Post by: jbshocks on October 19, 2011, 01:50:42 AM Is the SMI number the game number? The chips I currently have is SMI 960. Is there someplace to look on the glass or reel strips to get the game number? I have looked all over the glass and see nothing. I don't really want to pull the reels unless they are marked. Are the strips usually marked?

Are the strips usually marked? If the numbers are anywhere, they will be on stickers on the chips themselves. There is probably a test menu option that will display the personality numbers, but so far no one seems to have any working knowledge of these S5000+ machines. There is no reason to touch the strips or look on the glass. The only thing you'll do with the strips will be to confirm the symbol order for each of them IF someone comes up with an answer. |
