one would work just as good though?

can anyone tell me what the latest software is for the 145 and 200, I picked up several bally 5500's and would like to put the newest software in them, most will not take any bill but I have to start somewhere to try to fix them

Someone posted some JCM videos recently where a tech was talking about what paper could be used with what BV. I can't seem to find that post though.

I was just about to reply and refer to those.

Not according to JCM.  :60-  The calibration paper for the DBV200 has a thicker IR coating than the paper for the WBA. If one uses the wrong paper the head will calibrate, but there will be an expected reduction in bill acceptance.

The tech states that a typical reduction in acceptance for a WBA calibrated with DBV200 paper is 4%-5% for $1-$20s and 40%-50% for $50s and $100s. He doesn't mention the expected reduction when WBA paper is used in a DBV200, but he does say that it will experience the same symptoms.

It's covered in part 2 of the video series.

Don't forget to clean your sensors before calibrating! And for cat's sake, DON'T USE ALCOHOL OR WINDEX!!! :279-

I am using Ver. 2.30 in my Bally V5500 and it has taken everything I put in it,
including the new fives.
