Title: Bally E-2090 Error Code 41 Post by: czsm on October 24, 2011, 05:37:07 PM My Bally E-2090 3 reel slot works perfect when it is first plugged in. After playing for about 20 minutes, the machine goes into a "tilt" condition, with all the reels spinning, and an error code 41 in the display. According to the manual, an Error 41 indicates the left reel reader read 3 or more errors. I have to hit the reset button inside to correct the problem, but it continues to go into this condition with almost every pull of the handle, until I unplug the machine for a while.

If the problem moves to the right side (code 43) you will need a new reader. If it stays on the left then you have a problem with the reel reader control board or the I/O board. Like before the machine works fine when first turned on, but if it's left on for more than 30 minutes, it gets a reel reader error.
