Title: Ultra handle
Post by: jbshocks on October 24, 2011, 09:57:39 PM
I just have an observation and question.  Doesn't it seem like the handle on the ultra should be a foot lower?   Also I noticed on mine that when you put in a coin and  hit bet or bet max that it unlocks the handle.  The handle does not relock until you pull the handle.  For example I could have no credits in the machine at all and I can pull the handle one time and then it will lock.  It doesn't do anything on this no credit pull but it just seems that it should be locked.  Is this normal?

Perfectly normal, that's how it works. Once unlocked the handle will not relock until pulled and returned. If no coins are played the optics are turned off so no spin.

The older Uni's had a longer handle. The handle knob was at the top of the door. The Ultra handle knob is at the top of the door too, but the pivot point is much higher as the handle is shorter.
The handle style on the Ultra was used starting in about 1993 on the older style Uni's.
