Post by: rilaw on October 29, 2011, 12:16:34 PM

I don't know anything about these but for only $125 how could you go wrong?...If I had the same opportunity, I'd jump on it.  :89-

Panic not, there is nothing 'skill' stop about it at all.

The buttons under the reels are 'Hold' buttons. They serve two purposes.

First, periodically you will get the chance to 'hold' one or more of the reels before you spin, so if there is a jackpot or one or two of the gold symbols that lead to the bonus round (see 2:46) or even a previous win on the line you could hold it (see 1:33 but he doesn't select a reel to hold). The second is you will also get a chance to 'nudge' the reels occasionally, this is manually move the reels up or down a number of symbols to hopefully get a win by pressing the button (see 1:12-1:22). You can see this happening through the video. Of course all of these options are taken into account in the calculations used to create the payout tables.

Were the UK machines appear to differ from the American slot machines is that they will sort of go into a payout period, so you can hit a winning streak and then the machine will go tight. This varies from machine to machine.

Of, and that price is about the money they go for over here.

Regarding changing to US coins, they don't tend to have comparitors in, so you will need to modify the coin mech or change it I think, but I'm not an expert on that side of things.

Don't buy that machine, you will have nothing but problems with it. I work on machines in the uk and hated this machine. It was always braking down. While the majority of UK machines are great, this was a poor model my Maygay.  As for the coins, if I remember it has a mars mech so it would be easy to change the coins but it has payout slides and tubes so it would be hard to get a US denomination one.

Thanks for the info, I have been on the edge and that may kill it for me.

Thanks to everyone else as well!  :3-
