SP1146 is a 16Mhz game chip. A SP1274 would work. Title: Re: IGT SP 1146 Post by: knagl on October 30, 2011, 08:51:24 AM Welcome to the site, dlelae!
:238- Poppo is correct (as usual). For your reference, there is a stickied post in this category (here (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=68.0)) with a list of all known SP (and ST) chips. If you look on that list, you can see that SP1146 is listed as 16mhz. You cannot use a SP chip designated as 16mhz on a 10mhz board. Generally speaking, 16mhz SP chips will be labeled as such (in that post) -- if there's no mhz stated, then it's likely a 10mhz chip. For your Haywire Deluxe (a Type 21) game, SP 779, 790, 873, 934, 1059, 1207, 1229, or 1274 should all be compatible with your 10mhz board, per the list. If you need to purchase a chip, try placing a "WTB" ("Want To Buy") ad in the classifieds section (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?board=5.0) and one of the vendors who has a chip for sale will get in touch with you. |
