Title: What Version chips can be used for Multi Denom setup?
Post by: Amachanic on November 02, 2011, 12:59:18 AM
I was setting up my Triply Zesty Hot Peppers tonight, but it wouldn't let me set the multi denom? The machine seems to have been setup this way before, has the sticker and button to switch the Denomination.. The Stepper Base chip is SB100395, Version chip is VS011GX0, and the game chips are 363's. These chips are the ones that came with the machine... Is there a list of the different Versions Chips and whats there differences are, or what games they work with?

I think Bunker posted a list of version chips awhile back and what they allow, but I did a search and can't find it. I believe you need an 11gx1 for multi-denom though. Maybe Bunker will chime in with that list again or post it to the submit a new file section for future reference.

Did you accidentally change the Version chip from a VS011GX1 to a VS011GX0 if you did that might be why you can't enable multi-denomination.
You need the VS011GX1 in the machine.

No I didn't change anything on this machine, it's just as I picked it up. you know parts complete machine... Is the VS011GX1 the only Version chip I can use with this game setup?

VS009xxx also seem to work with 363
there is one of the VS009xxx that allow more than 4 denoms to be used, I forget which one it is I think it is 9VS0 or some such
VS011GX1 multi-denomination
VS011IH1 multi-denomination – Netherlands ONLY
VS011IX0 single denomination - International
VS011IX1 multi-denomination – International
VS011NX5 multi-denomination – New Jersey ONLY

Easy rule to remember....If it ends with a "0" it is a single denom.
