Took this from one of the Bally 6000's I shopped out. It was in top box.
Any ideas what it was used for?

Just a guess, but based on the plug I'd say transformer for a topper. Being 120v input it's not controlled by the MPU and it's fused, so it probably came directly off the aux 120v plugs. Player tracking equipment maybe. Ok, I'm done stating the obvious, I'll stop now :30-

That's what I thought but there's only one plug. Should have one for power to get to it.

I don't have one of these.

I don't know what the setup looked like, but it might have plugged directly into 120v for some lighting or whatever and looped out, through the transformer and back again for lower voltage lighting. The black and white wires indicate a feed from a main source with the greens being the taps. Maybe a topper with a progressive diplay or something like that

for Bally will have to see if that could be what it's for. There were toppers on some but did not
make it to me.

Two 20 Vac outputs on greens .....with green/yellow wire common between them

Is it for topper?

I would bet some type of display, Have not seen too many bally toppers but would not think they used 20 volts a/c

I have a cds topper that uses a low ac input and has rectifier diodes on the light ring to convert to dc. Not unheard of, I use an old AT&T answering machine power supply to run it.

I'm pretty sure it goes to a newer player tracking setup that is not made by Bally or IGT.  I forgot the manufacturer's name , but I can tell you it wasn't one of the well known ones.   I have a couple of these somewhere with this type of transformer setup and the associated player tracking boards and harnesses. What box and where I put that box is a whole other issue.

I found harness for it. It gets it's power from receptacle board on bottom
of cabnet. Some wires plug into back board.

I think she knows as much as me about these machines.
She'll sit & watch every move if I'm @ it for 1 hr. or 8 hrs. She is right there watching.

BTW That yellow transformer is definitely for an optic player tracking system.
I posted some pictures of it a couple of years ago.
The boards were all burned out with capacitors and chips blown up.

Sits in the backroom collecting dust in a box on the floor.
