Title: jcm 200sh not working after upgrade Post by: mmorris9492 on November 04, 2011, 07:22:17 PM I have a Ballys 5500 pro series slot, (black and white double jackpot) I bought a jcm 200 sh bill validator that has the upgraded eprom chip in it, it came from a reputable store, I can not get it to work, it wont make a sound, i have done a ram clear several times all dip switches are off, im lost with this one, the jcm 200 sh thats in it works fine it just doesnt except new money. is there something im missing or doing wrong? please help!

Regardless of anything else, the validator should cycle when it first gets power. If it's not doing that, it's likely dead.
If they both have removable EPROMs, you could try putting the new EPROM in the old validator to get it to accept newer bills. Title: Re: jcm 200sh not working after upgrade Post by: mmorris9492 on November 05, 2011, 01:46:43 PM It has the upgraded eprom, there is a little red lite glowing on the side, but no noise or movement, my original bill validator has the same littlr red lite glowing on the side also but it works fine (except for not excepting new money) so i assume the red lite is normal. im thinking the bill validator is bad.is there any way to check it?
