Title: Got Andys program to work with Unidesa. Post by: SLOTMAN on November 05, 2011, 04:37:12 PM Hello, I just want to share my progress on the very beginning of a TITO system. Although I have a assortment of machines I decided to play around with the Unidesa for a few reasons. They have SAS pretty much integrated without any optional boards. There is a DB9 connector so no need for any type of special harness. The hookup was pretty straight forward. After getting Andy's program finally running and working (.DLL issues) I tried to communicate directly through the serial port of a old thinkpad computer. It worked intermittently. After playing with parity it still did the same. I tried a Keyspan RS232 to USB and it seems to work a lot better. I believe I have the parity correct.
My advice for what it is worth is Keyspan converters seem to work. I ran through a few actions and they seemed to register. Then the finale came!!! I tried the legacy bonus and IT WORKED!!!! From 1 credit to 1000 credits. It worked like a champ. I will keep posted of the progress. I attached a dbmon log if anyone wants to look at it. Title: Re: Got Andys program to work with Unidesa.
