Title: MK2.5 Free Spins Feature Post by: martymoose on November 13, 2011, 05:40:31 AM Is there any mk2.5 games with a feature ie 3 scatters = 5 free games
also can the roms converted to another game cheers Title: Re: MK2.5 Free Spins Feature Post by: SS308 on November 13, 2011, 08:31:14 AM Yeh mate. Lucky Bug has free spins & roms can be changed or reprogrammed to suit 2.5/540. You can run mk4/540 as well just wont have a gamble feature as 2.5's don't have enough buttons so you have games like Goldne Canarie & Sweet Hearts run in a 2.5 cabinet as eproms are same.
Title: Re: MK2.5 Free Spins Feature Post by: PHALANAX on November 13, 2011, 08:50:23 PM Ive got a game called Treasure Island im retrofitting into a 540 shell its a mk2.5..it doesnt have five feature spins... but it does have a feature mode where if you get 3 scattered gold coins it lets you choose from 1 of five treasure chests and it can retrigger during a feature according to the payout glass....Its an Ainsworth Aristocrat microstar ....it doesnt have the usual button deck and ive had to remodel the 540 deck to take the original layout....basically im using all the original components....the original shell was different to most std2.5 units (different button deck and taller) alas it was was badly damaged .... it does however have the std 2.5 circuit pcb mounts but the door board and loom is different ...ive already fitted the electrics and signage nicely but am still doing the button deck and waiting for an rgb convertor (which i hope will work seen as no one heres saying...lol) so I can drop in an lcd screen... Im hoping to have this unit up and running soon ....peices of 8...lol ...ps do the jammaconvertors work on Aristocrats without drama....like the igts have with the nintendo inverted signal...lol
.. UPDATE...have completed the retrofit..just the monitor to sort...it took alot longer than I anticipated ....i used the original coin comparator and drop slot complete just mounted the whole unit to the 540s removable ..(saved alot of wiring and fitment issues..stripped the 540 slide and used the backbone as a mount)..it took a bit of work but its working perfectly and now its easily removed...the 7 button deck looks great (i have used the olde original all in one 5 button chrome surround )... but shortend and countersunk it into the filled in 540 button deck also removing the coin in slot from it (using the 540 slot instead) and added 2 later series collect and playline buttons instead of the ugly looking originals ...I removed the 540 signage lights and replaced them with the original twin tube setup upstairs and downstairs ...the main processor is mounted under the screen tray.. using the removable screen tray as an upper platform but spaced out to clear the stupid board height whilst clearing the rear monitor platform centre weight support ..the hopper is modified to slide in a little different to clear the internal mains switching unit (the original 2.5 hopper and mains power switching unit , transformer, all wiring etc is used and the hopper is fatter and wired different than the 540 ) the hopper coin acceptor slide has been modded as well to accept the coinage as has the reject and payout slide.. have adapted the wiring to the 540 door sensors but may yet use the original sensors as am a little worried the wiring may be about face as the color codes are different but have used the white code for now as directional.. Unit looks exceptionally tidy inside and out and is a big improvement over the derelict looking badly beaten rusty original ...I have a smaller screen I might fire it up when I get around to it ...as for now im thinking of a nice cold bud and some draw poker....lol......Will post some pics ....... And there is also a 5 game feature if you have a dino in the middle. This machine is great.
