Windows 7 didn't even ask me to reboot to finish the install. I know that each version of windows has reduced the number of reboots needed for driver and/or hardware changes as each new version of windows was developed and released. Be careful I don't think you will be able to install the final release over the beta. You will have to wipe and reinstall.

So I would gather windows would allow it to be uninstalled easily enough. Unless I wipe the restore points oir where ever MS calls them as updates are installed. It's the only USB programmer I have. The TopMAX programmer is parallel. (I'm running Win7 under VMware on my Vista machine)

In the release version you can pretty much count on the way it has been since windows XP for update policies.
