Title: Summit Questions?
Post by: rilaw on November 26, 2011, 08:56:29 PM
Hey guys!  I just picked up a Summit three reel slot, which has no model number, or any markings at all.  The control pcb is a 150131.

This thing is DOA, it lights up and seems to coin up (Makes sound when quarter is inserted), but you have to manually hold a lever inside so you can pull the arm, then it makes a reel spinning sound but never stops the reels.  If you manually push the coils for each reel you can stop the reels and the audio stops.  Right now "50" is displayed on the LED display.  There is no battery on the control pcb and there is some battery leakage damage on that pcb.

Sooo, where can I get a manual for this thing?  Anyone have parts?  Is it worth my time?

I only bought this because it came with a slot stand, and I wanted that for a gift.

O, now that I screwed with it more and found I can get it to play, but not stop the reels (Oxidation in the two eeprom sockets, or just loose chips, if I press them the game works..well kinda)....

I will post pics later

Before I scraped mine, the only place I found any info was at this site.

Thanks, I saw that site and the stupid prices....  Seems like if I clean the oxidation off the two ic sockets and tighten each from on them (Or just replace both sockets), it may work... But, does it require a battery to work, and if so, what size?

When you have the market cornered like he does the you can control the prices .
I did not have a main board but the one at the HMS site looks like a 3.6 volt.
Contact the owner of the HMS site and he might help with simple questions.

I may pass on that; "If you call looking for telephone support,  I have to cover my time.  It will be necessary to obtain credit card  info to cover my time.  $40 for the first 15 minutes, $2 for each minute thereafter."
