Title: Stupid things we do Post by: FORDSBS on November 27, 2011, 10:22:13 PM I was having a problem with my computer. Every time I tried to go into something It
would keep loading as if I kept clicking the mouse. I tried another mouse, same thing. Was going nuts when I noticed handle on coffee mug was over enter key on number pad. I moved mug & all was OK. :279- :279- :279- :208- :208- :208- Title: Re: Stupid things we do Post by: coorslight115 on November 28, 2011, 01:35:09 AM I was having a problem with my computer. My hearing is not the best. I never heard the clicking noise. What are those 3 missing buttons for anyways? :97- Title: Re: Stupid things we do Post by: FORDSBS on November 28, 2011, 01:20:46 PM Mine has definitely seen better days but I never use that number pad area really... :72- What are those 3 missing buttons for anyways? :97- + & - + takes 2 places Title: Re: Stupid things we do Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 28, 2011, 01:26:33 PM why yes...there's still a clip down in there for a double button.... :72-++++++++++++++++++------
Using a pencil, the buttons still work....! :5- I've had this wireless keyboard ever since the dawn of time when they first came out with these things. I don't have the wireless mouse anymore....hated those things - killed my batteries all the time and I went back to the wired mouse. Have they improved on the battery life of the newer wireless mice yet? My batteries last about a month. I don't use it for playing games, if you do they will not last as long. I use rechargeable batteries. Title: Re: Stupid things we do Post by: crgadyk on November 28, 2011, 06:03:29 PM I can get about 3 months out of my logitech wireless mouse at work. 9-10 hours a day and I never turn it off. Not too bad.
I won a Microsoft Arc Touch mouse at a database convention a couple months ago but haven't used it yet. Looks interesting but just haven't had a need to pull it out of the box yet. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/arc-touch-tutorial/ (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/arc-touch-tutorial/) Title: Re: Stupid things we do Post by: reho33 on November 28, 2011, 07:01:18 PM My wireless kbd and mouse have lasted years because the mouse only uses current when moved, if left idle it will not do anything.

I wonder how this thread could get this far with noone asking if Bunker set his keyboard on fire, or soldered it by mistake or........... :103- :103- :103- We need Bunker to fill in the blanks as to how this thing got burnt.... Probably a interesting funny story I bet! :89- CH :95- And yes, cordless mice have gotten much better! Probably a interesting funny story I bet! :89- Oh...it happened a couple of years ago. I was in a rush and ran out the door :301- :273- to go somewhere. When I returned back a few hours later - I was shocked to see that I almost had a fire! Well...I left my old magnifying lamp on :25- and it fell down on top of the right side of the keyboard on my bench. :wtf1- I've long thrown that fire hazard out....it used a 100 Watt lightbulb bulb and those bulbs will melt anything!!! I do remember chuckling to myself as I was chucking the pieces into the garbage can...I, of course, never reported it to anyone :182- Now I'm thinking :128- of that stupid t.v. commercial... "Hey Woodchuck! Stop Chucking My Wood!!!" :72- Title: Re: Stupid things we do Post by: CaptainHappy on November 28, 2011, 07:50:07 PM I knew there would be a good story!!! Glad there was no fire!
CH :95- Title: Re: Stupid things we do Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 28, 2011, 07:55:37 PM I'm glad there wasn't a fire too!! :72-
Anyways, If anyone wants to get a magnifying lamp ( I highly recommend them!!) get the ones that use the round fluorescent lamp. ( 120V FCL 22W ) They don't do not run as hot and still work well for deciphering those tiny letters and numbers on IC components! :89- I can actually place my palm on the fluorescent lamp without searing any skin off - uh...try touching a 100 watt bulb and see what happens!! :96- Title: Re: Stupid things we do Post by: Buzz on November 29, 2011, 02:13:13 AM Bunker Stick with the wire type mouse, it will have a harder time hiding from you.
