Title: Takasago TDC PSL-025 - Used in Vegas airports way back - Open Door Error ?*#!%@?
Post by: Vegas777 on December 03, 2011, 01:09:58 PM
Friends-

So this really isn't a Pachislo, but a Vegas slot machine from the time when Takasago was supplying them to the casinos.  I even read that some of these were used in the airports!   :88-

Anyways, I am getting this 'Open Door' error.   :30-    (See pics please.)

I took electronics growing up and I still can't figure out this bugger.  :25-

I tried making a better contact with the door switch on the inside of the slot with the contact receptacle on the door. I even went to remove the switch and placed it directly on the door contact.
After no luck there, I tried shorting the door switch on the slot so as to force it into contact.

Since I don't have the key for the side reset switch, I also tried connecting a wire to short that connection so I might possibly reset any error.  That didn't work either.  :(
I then removed the main printed circuit board and reseated it in case something wasn't making good contact.

I then proceeded to follow the wire for the door switch. It runs with a few other wires behind the machine and then goes underneath into the slot handle mechanism area.  Can't really tell how it looks like inside there.

Might anyone be able to offer any assistance on what I might need to do to resolve my open door error ?   :279-

Thank You.
