Title: IGT Game King 2 Australian NZ Board Problems due to corroding
Post by: hqrsyd on December 03, 2011, 03:26:19 PM
I have just purchased 2 Australian IGT GAME KING 2 Video Poker Machine's

One Machine is a Multi Game Machine set up 1996
The Other is called Blue Moon 2 1998

Both Machines have bad Corroding due to old battery, The 1996 game Board only the 2 yellow LEDs light up with nothing happening to the machines Screen or sound lights etc.

The 1998 Board with 3 Board LEDs light up, The Fluros and Screen Come on with no image at all. Oh no sound and no Button lights at all with both boards.

Another question: The boards have 2 EPROM Type Battery's on each (As seen in pic) How and what are they for RAM? Do they need replacing, or do they just hold a charge when Machines powered on?  where to get them?

So I need 2 new boards if any one can sell them to me that would be great,

This was a 3 hour drive and alot of heavy lifting.

I have 8 Machines now and am up on the 3rd floor 6 flights of steps, I hope I'm not moving out anytime soon. :71-

Thank You I have attached some Pictures of the machine etc.

hi
IGT  960 boards are few and far between and may be difficult to come by. I got two machines and 3 boards  a few months ago and all boards were faulty due to leaked batteries. I have not seen the Blue Moon version in a 960 game king before. Is it chipped the same as the multistar games?

Usually Bue moon II is 1 of a 5 game chipset Multistar 5    or    1 of a 3 game chipset Classic Collection 3
