Title: OLED power Help
Post by: Karaoke Mike on December 05, 2011, 11:13:35 PM
Hi,
On the oled button deck it is 24v with 2 wires going into the deck. Where would you plug the other end into? and is the square one in the molex the negative or positive?
Thanks, Pictures work best with me. Thank you

ok, I found the programming manual and the power comes from j22 24v. Which one on the button deck is positive?  :279-  of the 2. Thanks

A multimeter will tell you this.

Measure the voltage. If it shows a negative voltage then turn the leads around.

Mike,
I don't know how Williams does it but IGT normally places the negative polarity on the latch side of a 2-pin Molex
and the wire there will be black or have a black stripe.

Is there not a 2-pin female Molex hanging around or hidden somewhere?
It should only go one way because there is usually a latch on one side of the Molex housing.
Also, does it look like any of these ?

The one with the connector side using the mutimeter said that it was negative and the other one is positive. I just want to be 100% sure, I don't want a poof.
Thank you for the replies. K+
