Title: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: Gav on December 11, 2011, 02:12:20 AM Hi,
Would anyone have an Aristocrat Esprit manual, possibly in PDF format. Any help appreciated. Thanks Gav in OZ. Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 11, 2011, 02:35:00 AM Have you checked all the Aristocrat threads?
I'm sure this has been located before? Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: Gav on December 11, 2011, 02:54:06 AM looked everywhere and cannot find a manual.
Gav. Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 11, 2011, 03:38:45 AM I don't have one on hand Gav.
The best thing to do is search the Aristrocrat threads/posts , find somebody who was asking before you and see who may have given them one? And try to send that person a PM (Personal Message) to see if they will send/email you one. You need to fill out your profile better and allow our members to see you email so they can help you. Ahhh!! I just looked...you are an Aussie! Awesome! Australia is ...uh..."OZ" ? I didn't know that... Learn something new everyday! lol Anyways, Since you are so new here - it's hard for anyone to give you anything because quite frankly, nobody knows you. This is only your 4th post on NLG and 3 of them are you asking for a manual... I hope you can see what I mean? Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: Gav on December 11, 2011, 03:53:49 AM Thanks for the advice,
I realise I'm new here & hello to everyone, it's a great forum. There is nothing like this in Oz. If I can contribute any of my little knowledge I'm happy to help eg: Arcade/ Slots. I have been searching for a few years for this manual with no luck. Gav. Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: Gav on January 16, 2012, 08:41:53 PM Please, Please
anyone ? TIA Gav. :99- Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: Pintech on February 07, 2012, 07:33:49 PM Hi There, I'll contribute here as much as possible, Firstly a bit of history. This may bore some, but others may find it interesting.
I'm in New Zealand, Speaking to an operator who operated Pokies, Pinballs, Jukes etc in the early days, he told me the following: In the 80's Internal Affairs hadn't really cracked down on gambling laws, so Poker machines were in Dairy's, Fish N Chip Shops and anyone could play them. New Zealand bought a lot of Secondhand Aristocrat's out of Australia. These started at the esprit mechanical narrow reeled one arm bandits, then went on to the esprit Atlas Microprocessor based versions. Very often, a site owner would ring the machine operator and say that they had received a tip off that Internal Affairs were on the way to seize the machine. The operator would then order another second hand unit from Australia, clear out the money, Internal Affairs would seize it, Scrap it (Supposedly) and as soon as the replacement arrived it would get put back in the same location. There was that much money cycling through them that this was still a profitable way of doing it. This went on for a while till the gaming rules were sorted out. Then a lot of Esprit Atlas units appeared up for sale in Christchurch (My home city) I bought 4x non working units and a box of spare parts. Machines were: "Talent Scout", "Wild West", "Super Quartet", and "Queen Of Hearts" Managed to get 2x of them working and the other 2x never did. This was back in the early 90's, we had them all lined up in our flat and I think we were about 18 at the time. Anyhow, in my quest to get these running, I faxed (no email back then) Aristocrat in Australia and by chance managed to get in touch with someone who remembered the system (They were out of production then) He mailed me 4x Bound Manuals. They include: "Aristocrat Esprit Atlas Service Manual" - Sept 1979 "Aristocrat Esprit Parts Catalogue" October 1981 "Aristocrat Esprit Micro Processor Based Machines Generic Operators Manual" "Aristocrat Wild West Plus Carousel Payout Unit" - The later machines had a carousel hopper instead of the standard type that kind of lays on its side All are in hard copy format, I'll get on to scanning them, hopefully they provide some info for people to help fix their machines. Now I'm not sure if this is a forbidden thing to mention/ask, If the game Roms are bad, is their a source for them anywhere? - Sorry if this is not allowed. Cheers Iain Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: Gav on February 10, 2012, 09:05:57 PM Hi Iian,

Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: smoszko on March 09, 2012, 08:43:41 AM Hi Gav, another new aussie to the forum, i also have a aristocrat esprit, just wondering if you had any luck with a manual yet. I reckon i could be looking for a couple of power sources also that look like are missing from the top part of the machine, anyway a manual would be a good start. Hope you can help, thanks in advance.

I see somone on Guntree is selling a 1976 ARISTOCRAT INCA SUN and say it comes with a manual, I tryed to send email but my work server blocks it. May be if you ask nicely they will copy it for you. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/nelson-bay/antiques-collectables/1976-aristocrat-inca-sun-10-cent-slot-poker-machine-australian/1007251382 Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: smoszko on October 04, 2012, 03:48:29 AM Hi Guys
The pictures were great, i think i worked out where one wire went, the bottom picture was the best for what i`m looking for, if there is any chance of a closer clear picture of the wires on the little white board and where they hook up or solder to that would be really great, thanks. Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: Ghost Assassin on October 04, 2012, 04:20:56 AM I will see what I can dig up. Only I am at work in Africa and will not be home for a month or so.

Jimmy Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: Ghost Assassin on October 04, 2012, 01:14:47 PM Hi Jimmy
Thank you for your help. But this wiring diagram is for the microstar MK2.5 this unit is controlled via a small microprocessor with stepper motor reels. The one I am looking for is a little more old school and is mostly controlled via fixed mico-switchs on fully mechanical reels and old style relays to work the 240v electrical payout hopper. No fancy stuff here..... it does not have any microchips or ROMs its straight mechanical. I do have 1/2 the manual (regal MK2) it only covers the mechanical testing and adjusting and nothing on the switches or power supply. Although not fancy its a nightmare trying to figure out if the relays and switches are meant to have power to them or not. Also they appare to be Australian and NZ machines only and that is making finding out information on them almost impossible. But I do appreciate the help anyways. Title: Re: Aristocrat Esprit manual Post by: ZolloZ on March 24, 2013, 08:37:05 AM Hi everyone
Just purchased an Aristocrat Esprit Slot machine and it's going to need some repair/restoration. I'm looking forward to the challenge but could really do with some assistance/advice. 1. - If anyone has any manuals, instructions on this machine I'd be extremely grateful for copies to be emailed to me. 2. - I'm in New Zealand - Does anyone know of anyone this side of the Tasman who knows about these and who I might call upon when it all goes 'Pear Shaped'? :30- I'm hoping to get started in the next few weeks and I'll share my progress and and tips or help I amass along the way. You help and advise (along with your Manuals) will be gratefully received. Chris (ZolloZ) |
