Title: 2002 IGT Double Diamond Lock N Roll Post by: j530lh on December 15, 2011, 05:40:33 PM I don't know anything about slots, but bought IGT 2002 Double Diamonds Lock and Roll for my husband. It has touch screen and console buttons. I understand how to make it switch from tokens to quarters, but right now if you hit payout is prints out a ticket. I want the quaters to come out the hopper. What do I need to do to turn off the ticket printer and use the hopper?

Your husband is ONE LUCKY GUY! :72- Uh...a few members were talking about a Lock n Roll machine over the summer. Let me try and locate that thread and pass it to ya. If I remember right, those are IGT video games with like 20 different games on them? Can you show us a photo of yours? I have a question: It prints out a ticket when you put money into the bill acceptor? Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: j530lh on December 15, 2011, 09:37:57 PM It prints out a ticket when you want to cash out. Just like at the casinos.
Thanks for any and all help Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 15, 2011, 09:41:20 PM It prints out a ticket when you want to cash out. Just like at the casinos. That's what it's supposed to do...lol esp. when you hit the "Cash-Out" button... Is it printing out a ticket on it's own when you DON'T want to cash out? Okay, when you hit the cashout button, you can hit a different button to make the hopper pay out coins to the tray. It will tell you on the blue VFD screen if you have the machine configured to do that. Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: j530lh on December 15, 2011, 09:45:53 PM I know it's supposed to at a casino, but I don't want it to do that at our house, Ummm, I don't know if it's configured to pay out of the hopper. I don't suppose you know where I can see that?
Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 15, 2011, 09:59:18 PM You need an I-Game expert to chime in here...
I think it would be in your machine configuration options screen. I don't know beans about IGT video games but a video game is a video game. Open the door, and press the little white test button once and tell me what pops up on the screen? Let's do this one step at a time...don't hit anything else. I'm sure we can figure it out. Can't be much different than my config screen on my Vision LCD computer? Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: j530lh on December 15, 2011, 10:08:07 PM Operator Menu
Diagnosticts or Event Logs to choose Pending Tilts, Value System Failure Or return to game Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 15, 2011, 10:11:46 PM Choose "Operator Menu"
Is this a touch screen ? Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: j530lh on December 15, 2011, 10:13:00 PM Yes it is
Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 15, 2011, 10:14:18 PM Touch "Operater Menu", and try to get to something like "Machine Options"
If the "buttons" on the LCD don't "light up" or "highlight" - then I think you will need a keychip of some sort to change settings. Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: j530lh on December 15, 2011, 10:18:52 PM Under diagnostics, it has Input/Output, Sound Test, Video Test, Comm Channel, Analyzer, Touch Screen, Calibration, Bill Validator Test, Print test and MORE

That setting would only be under "machine options" somewhere. Can you "Go Back" one page to the other screen? Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 15, 2011, 10:25:11 PM What's under "MORE"? Touch that one.

Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 15, 2011, 10:30:59 PM Game Tests, external meters and calcualte from crc Nope, hit the "Return To Game" button and see if there are ANY credits on the machine... If so, hit the cashout button and let me know if you see any options in the blue display window besides "cashout and print ticket". Make sure there's NO credits on the machine then get back into the menus again. Any I-Game guys out tonight? I'm at home and don't have anything here. This woman needs help on her husbands xmas gift. Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: knagl on December 15, 2011, 10:39:22 PM Make sure there's NO credits on the machine then get back into the menus again. I agree with this. If there are any credits on the machine, you won't be able to make any adjustments to how the machine cashes out credits. Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: j530lh on December 15, 2011, 10:43:03 PM There are no credits on the machine. There is a blue box that says help, it explains game rule and payouts
Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 15, 2011, 10:49:57 PM There are no credits on the machine. There is a blue box that says help, it explains game rule and payouts That's not the display I meant. Now I'm thinking your machine doesn't use the VFD displays... rather, it relies on the large screen...hmm... The only thing I can think of is maybe you need a certain Keychip to change the Machine Options settings in the menus? I could be wrong on this? Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: j530lh on December 15, 2011, 10:51:14 PM and where would I go about getting this key chip?
Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: uniman on December 16, 2011, 12:09:26 AM On my GameKing the Operators Menu has SETUP, after selecting SETUP you choose MACHINE OPTIONS, after selecting MACHINE OPTIONS you choose PERIPHIAL DEVICES.
There you can enable/disable hopper, printer, etc. Yours is obviously different. Have you tried turning the jackpot key? That displays the ATTENDANT MENU on my GameKing but maybe it might give you the setup option? Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 16, 2011, 12:11:42 AM and where would I go about getting this key chip? I think it was slotsteve down in Va that was selling these Lock n Roll machines. I'm sure he would have one as well as Jim BlueridgeSlots. Both are NLG members and would be in the member directory. They may be able to help you better as they've probably worked on these machines before. And...they might know exactly what Keychip version you might need. Really when you look at it - you got your husband a great machine for xmas! Just don't hit the cashout button so often for now until you get it paying out the way you want to. You will only run out of tickets super fast hitting the printout button. Later on though, you might want to place a WTB ad in the "Classifieds" section of NLG for some more stacks of thermal tickets! :72- Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: Buzz on December 16, 2011, 12:29:00 AM I just looked at one of my I Games. press the test button, touch set up, touch machines options, touch limit set up. Now you can turn the hopper on and how many coins you want it to pay out. I would suggest have the hopper pay out like 100 coins and the remainder of the credits will be printed on a ticket. My machine doesn't have a printer so I'm no help on how to turn it off if you want to.
Bunker I Game / Game Kings don't have a VFD Title: Re: 2002 IGT Double Diamond Lock N Roll Post by: Foster on December 16, 2011, 12:32:14 AM you would have change some options
Change hopper limit, and a couple of other settings. To totally disable the printer you will need to use a key chip and disable it in the "key chip config menu" I suggest a hopper limit of $20-$50 You can have more credits on the machine than the hopper limit on newer machines. Anything much higher if you do not have the quarters or tokens in the hopper on a cash out and you will be filling the hopper to finish a cash out. Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 16, 2011, 01:33:27 AM Bunker I Game / Game Kings don't have a VFD :72- Yeah...I figured that when she said ...>>> "the blue box that says help, it explains game rules and payouts". My VFD display NEVER said that...LOL I just looked at one of my I Games. press the test button, touch set up, touch machines options, touch limit set up. Now you can turn the hopper on and how many coins you want it to pay out. I would suggest have the hopper pay out like 100 coins and the remainder of the credits will be printed on a ticket. My machine doesn't have a printer so I'm no help on how to turn it off if you want to. She said this is what she had on her screen...maybe she missed "Set Up" ? :129- Operator Menu Diagnosticts or Event Logs to choose Pending Tilts, Value System Failure Or return to game Title: Re: 2002 Double Diamond Lock N Roll Slot Post by: Buzz on December 16, 2011, 02:28:32 AM Not a very good Pic. She posted a picture on the 1st page in Reply#11. Then go to reply 20, Jim is never wrong. I would think a lot depends on the Game that's installed as to what exactly you will see on the screen, just don't be afraid to open tabs and look around. Mark I looked at the pic. and still don't know what I was looking at, to little for my old eyes.
