I'm not on a super fast connection, so it's hard to tell. It is certainly is not any slower. Still takes a while to load the emoticons, but that has always been a hit or miss. sometimes they load really fast and other times pop up one at a time.

Big difference on how fast the pages load now. I use to notice a delay just as the page was finishing and that's gone.

All of the general stats seem to still be there. Unless you meant something else.

Do you get access to your MySQL database directly or is that handled by the host? If you have access to it, I'd be happy to take a look at your slow query logs to see if there is anything that could be done to increase individual query performance. I'm less strong in MySQL when compared to SQL Server but I support two applications in MySQL here at my company currently along with the 100 databases I have on SQL Server.

And if I'm of no help whatsoever, you'll only be out your initial investment of $free  :30-

Perhaps it's time to find a new host that won't dick you around?  I host my SMF forum through WebzPro (http://www.webzpro.com/) and I've been very happy with them.  Food for thought, at least.

Ok, here is another reason I really hate that this useful feature is gone. When using the 'Show unread posts' method  :47- , if you click on one of the 'new' items but dont pay attention to where the thread is located, when you go back to the 'Show unread posts'  :47- it is now gone (because it's not new any more), and if you want to go back to it again before someone else posts, you have to try and hunt it down some other way.  :47- :47- :47- :47- :47-
