Title: Power Surge Protection and Switch Post by: j$hort on December 27, 2011, 09:16:10 PM Got a IGT S+ machine in a home setting and am finding myself unlocking and using onboard power switch quite a bit. I am also unplugging from wall when not in use. Seems like a bit of a pain fumbling with the keys and may promote wear to keys, locks and machine in general. I have a power strip/surge protector with a switch on it and was wondering if there is any harm in leaving the machine onboard switch in the on position and using the power strip switch to power the machine up and down for use? Any response or ideas would be greatly appreciated....

Cheaper than purchasing new boards or other parts. I usually use the switch but I normally leave them on 24/7 unless changing kits.. |
