Title: Adding PSA66 Printer to V7000 Bartop Please help Post by: SLOTMAN on December 30, 2011, 02:14:21 PM Hello all, I am taking on my weekend project and it is adding a printer to a V7000 GameMaker. I have a PSA66 printer from a Bally 6000. There is a optional power supply so I have the power covered. I am having a problem with the data side. I have attached a PDF with diagrams relating to the machine. I also have everything ram cleared and set for Seiko Here is my problem:
I dont have a harness so I need to make my own. On the printer there is only 3 wires being used. I have to assume TX/RX/GND because it is RS232 (keep in mind this came from a Bally6000) but on the diagram of the backpane (see pdf) I have a bunch of different connections like Data 1 Data 2 Data 3 etc.. Even on the diagram of the PSA66 it seems like the only connections needed are 2,4,5. Is there anyone that may have an idea of what hooks to what??? If the backpane of the V7000 said TX/RX/GND I would be able to figure this out but it has Data 1, Data 2, all the way to Data 8. Anyone have a harness that may shed some light on this??? The TX,RX,GND are for communications, but they do NOT power up the printer itself. You need to acquire a set of Bally 7000 schematics or wiring drawings to see what's coming out of the backplane for sure. or Look around for somebody that has a machine like yours... Try doing a search for somebody selling one? Maybe they can shed some light on the printer wiring from the backplane? Just offhand, don't those Gamemakers use the Seiko printers? As for the power, that is independent and supplied by a brick power source. And yes, Seiko psa66

PM him and ask him if he has a printer hooked up in his? Maybe he can help you figure out the printer wiring? ...>>> http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=16615.msg141006;topicseen#msg141006 (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=16615.msg141006;topicseen#msg141006) Title: Re: Adding PSA66 Printer to V7000 Bartop Please help Post by: BENCHTECHBILL on April 15, 2012, 08:14:57 AM Just to let you know you are wasting your time. Bally design the 7000 and 7200 to use a Seiko Centronics printer and not the Seiko PSA-66 Serial printer. :25- :208- :97-
