Title: Question concerning converting game to coin pay out.
Post by: cwaig_tx on January 03, 2012, 02:26:35 PM
Hi all,

I've got my Reel Touch Tabasco up and running.
Currently it is setup for ticket payout.
This is a multi-denominational game, currently set up for .01, .02, .05, .10

I've been acquiring all the necessary parts to make this a coin in/coin out game and have everything I need.
However I question if what I want to accomplish can be done. Sorry for my stupidity this is my first S2000 multi-denom game
that I've ever messed with before.

I'm aware that I will need to put the key chip in to do these changes. Just unsure how to accomplish my goal.

Can the game be set to accept not only bills but also quarters?
Can the game also be set to payout credits with quarters?

What will happen if my balance for example on the machine is $26.43
Will the game payout of $26.25 worth of quarters?
What will it do with the remaining .18 that needs to be paid out?

Let me know if the above can be done and any suggestions how to set it up in the settings.
Thanks everyone,
Craig

To start off with, yes, you will need a keychip and the key 45 is the one you'll want. The machine can be set up to pay coins up to a certain amount and a ticket after. If you set your coin value at a penny then the machine will pay out all credits to coin upt to the set limit, but if you set your coin value or tokenize, to an amount higher than a penny then the machine will leave odd amounts on the machine or you can print it to a ticket to clear the odd amount. On my Denver Duck I had 4 denoms from .01 to .25. I tokenized the machine so each token was worth $20. This saved having to put a crap load of coins or cash in the machine to play max denom, max bet which is the way it will probably be played 90% of the time. Tokenizing doesn't mean you have to use tokens though, you can still use quarters. It just means you are adjusting the recognized value of whatever coin you are using in the comparitor. Lastly, as far as the coin acceptor and BV, yes, both can be used with no problems and all bill put in will be recognized for what they are irregardless of coin value. All changes will have to be made with no credits on the machine and a clear won't be neccesary because you're not going to change the accounting denom. This will get you started anyway...
