Title: HELP with my S plus - bill validator acting dead! Post by: shortrackskater on January 17, 2012, 04:14:22 AM No, this isn't about my slant top! It's still working fine. Tonight I put one dollar in my IGT S plus Double Diamond. The dollar was crumpled. It went in, whirred then didn't register the 4 credits and the top candle started flashing. I pulled out the cash box, and found the dollar inside but with space between the other stack. I pulled it out and thought the machine would just work. But now it's going through the test spin but the BV won't light up. The BV DOES make noise when you power on. And it will work with quarters. It's as if something just told the BV to act dead! I should know how to do this but after reading my manual, I can't see any reset procedure.
Help...Mark's or anyone who is up late. Title: Re: HELP with my S plus - bill validator acting dead! Post by: shortrackskater on January 17, 2012, 04:45:39 AM Never mind. I pulled out the BV to check and thought it was seated properly. I tried this multiple times and it still won't work. I tried again and something "felt" different the way it went in. This time, the light came back on the BV and all is well. I wish I knew exactly what happened though...any thoughts? It really seemed to be seated and it didn't work...then it just worked after my repeated attempt at doing the same thing. Weird.

After reconnecting the harnesses, and flipping the transport lever up. I would press down on transport, yes you can reach it from the left side just under the reel shelf. Title: Re: HELP with my S plus - bill validator acting dead! Post by: shortrackskater on January 17, 2012, 05:00:15 AM I just realized the transport lever would flip up and down while I though I had it in and seated. When it really was in, the lever would not flip down so I assume I just didn't have it in properly. I need to read up and look at some diagrams of this to see what I did.
