Title: backlit reels Post by: ghetto1971 on January 18, 2012, 02:26:09 PM How hard is it to convert S2000 from non backlit to backlit reels?
Title: Re: backlit reels Post by: stayouttadabunker on January 18, 2012, 02:50:30 PM Not hard really but you really have to watch what you're buying.
If you're just swapping out the wide strips and reels - all you need is the wide reels and backlit driver board & harness. But...if you're swapping out 5-reelers, be careful on the reel basket widths...some are slightly wider or narrower. It sucks if you get the wrong ones and your strips don't fit. Also, the reel shelve slots or nibs and reel mounts can differ so watch out there too! I see them on ebay all the time as well. Or just post an ad in the classifieds if you wish. I'm hoping your new game kit has the backlit strips (the back of the strips are black/gray).
Let us know if you get to a conversion kit or if/when you need help hookin it up :89- Danny |
