I will have to get me a different set to get the enhanced sounds, I will post WTB in the classified section Title: Re: Cleopatra 5 reel Post by: cowboygames on January 22, 2012, 03:40:00 PM As long as you have a multimedia board installed with a DSV00043 simm card the SB/SG chips used shouldn't matter. The only thing they affect is number of coins possible to play per line and how fast the machine counts credits when you win
Title: Re: Cleopatra 5 reel Post by: kibble on January 22, 2012, 03:55:15 PM I do not get enhanced sound from this machine for reel spins just sounds like a generic spin sounds what am I missing?
When I go into Multimedia settings I do not have option reel option 3.2.6.4 Title: Re: Cleopatra 5 reel Post by: cowboygames on January 22, 2012, 04:05:05 PM Do you have a multimedia daughter board plugged into the long white plugs on your MPU board with the DSV sound simm plugged into the multimedia board. If you're not sure, post a picture of your MPU and we'll tell you

Title: Re: Cleopatra 5 reel Post by: Buzz on January 22, 2012, 05:19:10 PM yes I do I even swapped out the multimedia light board for another one that I have Any chance your sound simm is bad ??? Title: Re: Cleopatra 5 reel Post by: cowboygames on January 22, 2012, 05:20:39 PM All the cleo chips were made to utilize the 43 sound simm so I'm not sure why you're having trouble. Only way I'm aware of to see if the MPU is recognizing a multimedia board is by how long the game takes to boot up when you turn it on. With the board takes twice as long. Could be a bad simm or chipset I suppose. Maybe someone else will pop in with another idea. I'd just hate to see you spend the money on a chip set and have it not be the problem

You need the DSV00043 SIMM card... Blueridgeslots will have one. As a side joke that he'll understand...Tell him I sent you! Stress that...he'll get a kick out of that! Title: Re: Cleopatra 5 reel Post by: kibble on January 26, 2012, 09:57:47 PM Just to let you all know this has been solved by cleaning the contacts on the sound sim with a pencil eraser.
have a great night Title: Re: Cleopatra 5 reel Post by: stayouttadabunker on January 27, 2012, 12:20:30 AM Great job!
Yeah, those things are just like memory sticks we used to put in our desktops... When the computer starts giving you problems - all you gotta do is get an eraser on the contacts. For kicks, I stuck a DSV000042 in my old desktop XP... Nothing happened to the stick or the computer and I didn't get any "enhanced " sounds out of it... :96- Title: Re: Cleopatra 5 reel Post by: Buzz on January 27, 2012, 02:13:51 AM Great job! I seriously doubt if you stick your Pecker in a wall socket it will curl you hair. But if you decide to give it a try it I'd like to buy a admission ticket to watch. :200- :200- Title: Re: Cleopatra 5 reel Post by: stayouttadabunker on January 27, 2012, 03:57:33 AM :72- I gotta pass on :hide3- that one monsieur! :283-
