Title: Re: is it worth it ? Post by: coreya on January 24, 2012, 12:39:01 PM It looks similar to my E series 1347 slot that I bought for 50.00, should be some tags on the bottom right side of the case with the model #

The handle piston assembly looks to be stuck. A rubber seal dissolves inside and gums up the assembly. It's an easy fix, remove and clean the piston and cylinder then grease it lightly and reassemble. I wouldn't play more then $100 for that machine in its current condition. It's going to need to be cleaned and lubed for sure first thing. Check the right side of the machine at the bottom by the front door for the Bally tag with the model number.
Title: Re: is it worth it ? Post by: Jim on January 24, 2012, 04:09:26 PM in the event that there is no tag, look for a circuit board on the left side wall next to the reels, there should be one mounted on the back wall behind the reels, the hopper should have one mounted behind the handle, has two red buttons on it, should have a power supply board on the backwall to the right of the hopper, on the reel assembly, there should be three card readers located in the front of the reel assembly and to the left of the reels themselves, and a small board mounted on the inside front of the reel mech. if these boards are there then its a "E" series machine. the board on the left sidewall opposite the reels would give a hint as to a 1000/2000 type. usually a piggyback board mounted to the CPU board is a 1000 series.
No boards means EM, electromechanical. or if there are plugs hanging there and no board means your in trouble. Jim Title: Re: is it worth it ?
