Title: Where can I find these GameMaker 7000 games?
Post by: RV Doctor on January 21, 2009, 07:54:52 PM
Does anyone know where I can find the following GameMaker Games?

Royal Draw Poker (SMI P0811)
Video 7000 Stud Poker (SMI X0017)
Funky Times (SMI H0004)
99 Bottles of Beer (SMI Y3750)
3 Musketeers (SMI Y4737)
Luau Party (SMI Y0002)
Playboy (SMI Y0023)
Take it or Leave it (SMI Y4617)
Winning for Dummies (SMI # unknown)
Lucky Wheel Dice version (SMI Y0034)

I'm really new to all this, and I'd appreciate any help I could get.

Thanks,   ....Howard Chadwick  (The RV Doctor)

I think most if not all of those games are for the GameMagic, not the GameMaker.

Howard, check in the Submit New File area for the Gamemaker SMI List. This will give a listing for games. Since that list came out it was found that several games listed are NOT available for the Gamemaker platform, at least not that we have found so far. The SMI# is the key, The full number V7P*****_ _ **. if the  numbers in the underline areas are 01 or 04 then they will be Gamemaker compatible if they are 87 or 88 then they are a GameMagic or newer platform. If you check the SMI list, you will see that Funky Times and Take it or Leave It shows the 87 or 88, although it is not listed I have been told that 99 Bottles of Beer is a Game Magic game and not available in Gamemaker. I saw that Lone Ranger game currently on Ebay, I believe whatever platform series that machine is would probably run those other titles otherwise they are probably GameMagic.

I put that list together about 3 years ago and don't recall any of those titles being Game Maker.  I know for sure that at least half of those titles are for Game Magic.

Actually Idesign, you did a great job with that list. Many of my original Bally chips coincide with the SMI #'s you have listed, so it is nice to know the percentages before putting in the eprom and looking it up on the diagnostic menu. The only difference that can be found is the games that we know that work in Gamemaker have that 01 or 04 in the SMI and the others like Lone Ranger and Soap Opera have that 87 or 88. That is the only consistent differences found. Also isn't the eprom for the GameMagc liike a reference or birth chip that refers back to a CD for the actual game, graphics an audio?

The Game Magic does not use Eproms other than the mains.  It uses CDs.  I think you are referring to the next platform up, but I can't recall the name of that platform.....crs again.

The next platform up is the EVO series.  It uses mains chips, personality chip and a CD for graphics and sound.

The machine mentioned earlier - Lone Ranger on Ebay is an EVO.

Thanks folks for all the help. I'll restrict my search to the Bally Gamemaker SMI Master list (on th NLG site), being certain to screen out those games that contain the "87" or "88" digits within their Part Number.

You've saved me hours of frustration, and I think this deserves a small PayPal contribution to this great site. I'll get on that momentarily.

Thanks again,   ....Howard Chadwick (RV Doctor)

Well, you can contact the vendors at the top of the forum in the sponsor area. It would also be a good idea to at least give a general idea where you are locateed in your profile for other members in your area to possibly assist in your needs.

Ben

Hi Ben: Thanks for the offer, but I already have that game for my Game Maker.  What I'd really like to see is a list of the available games for the IGT Game King. The IGT website won't give this info unless you're employed in the gaming industry or you're a direct customer of IGT.  I know that NLG listed tons of games for the Game Maker, but I don't see any for the Game King.  After I've seen a list of the available games I'd likely contact a dealer to purchase the games of my choice.  Any suggestions?

You don't have to be employed in the gaming industry to see all the GK games available.  Anybody can see them on IGT's web site.  You can even see the list of chip numbers for the jurisdictions for each game.  Go to their web site, click on games, then game king video slots and the list appears on the right side of the screen.  If you click on program list is will give you the entire list with chip numbers.
