Welcome to the site.

 :238-

When you put the coin comparator into place, did you plug in the wires to it, or did you just put it physically into place?  There are wires that will need to be plugged into it in order for it to work.

Also, the coin comparator will only attempt to accept coins if the main door is closed.  You can trick the machine into thinking that the main door is closed by pressing in on the white cherry switch on the right-hand side of the machine (that is normally pressed in when you close the door) (you can also pull that switch out until it clicks which will also tell the machine that the door is closed, and you won't have to hold the switch in place to maintain that state).

Aside from the machine not accepting coins, does everything else about it appear to be working?  Is the Dotmation dot matrix display (in the top box) working?  Are there any digits on any of the LED displays that are in the reel glass?

Edited to add: I just re-read your post and saw that you mentioned that "two red lights on one of the cards are lit" -- that's not a good sign.  In fact, depending on which lights are lit, I suspect you have a bad lower power supply.  Please do the following:

With the power on, observe exactly which red LEDs are lit on the card in the card cage.

Then, turn the power off, then remove the card from the card cage (use the two white "handles" on the side of the card to gently pull the card out of its slot).  Be gentle and static sensitive with this card!  Make a note of what markings are on the board next to the red LED lights that were lit.

After that, carefully slide the card back into its slot, using the "handles" to slide it completely back into its slot, pressing it firmly into place.

Please tell us which lights were lit (and which ones weren't), and we can give you some further guidance.

yes when i put coin comparitor in i plugged it in but the green light did not come on

again as u know this is first slot and im a plumber lol   so u think it is main lower power supply is there pics of it, is it on the left side where the outlet is

also i dont think i have dotmation the top is empty behind the glass a few wires going to light and a set that appears to go down to plug thats not plugged in

and none of the lights come on at credit win or bet windows, also seems bill thing not lit up   thanks again

1st off, Welcome to the site.  :238-
Yes WMS made the machines with and without the upper dotmation display.
What is the name of your game? and please post  :211-

As for the I/O board with all those red led lights.
On the right, the five leds from left to right are +5V, +12V, -12V, +5V and +18V
Those should all be illuminated when the machine is powered up. Those indicate they are receiving the proper voltages.

On the same board on the left side is another red led. This one is the FAIL led and SHOULD illuminate if any of the required voltage for the board is missing.

The original Power supplies were PU110-31A and the output is +5V @10A, +12 @5A and -12V@ 1A
That actual power supply is located inside the metal case on the lower left-hand wall. Remove all the connectors and two nuts that hold the power supply to the sidewall. Pull off the studs and forward.

Now with the power supply outside the machine, remove two screws and the cover comes off. Since someone has been inside that machine and disconnected the coin comparator, be sure they didn't also disconnect the connection to the actual power supply inside the metal case. If so plug all that back in and re-install the power supply.

If everything looks OK and is connected, I would say the power supply is shot.
You now have two choices. There is a fix where you can install a computer ATX power supply in place of the original. It is well documented here by another member. It requires cutting the original wire harness and splicing in new wiring. Personally, I hate cutting original wire harnesses, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do to get a machine up and running. However, I said you have two options. The second is to buy a replacement lower power supply.
The PU110-31A has not been available for years. I do have brand new drop in replacement that exceed the power demand of the original units and will actually last longer.

I can sell you just the inside power supply and you can change it yourself or I'll send you the entire metal case with the new power supply already installed for the same price. The only difference is the deal with the entire metal case is with an exchange unit. So you will have to mail me back your core. Since they weigh about 8 lbs you will have freight both ways if you choose that option.

Here are some pictures of an old power supply

Glad to here you got it working.  :244- :244-

As for the handle, check to be sure the solenoid is plugged in.
If so you may try a little spray lube. I have had a sticky handle that it worked on.
