Title: dbv 200 ido 24, head won't reject bill
Post by: azgamingslots on February 05, 2012, 06:53:39 AM
dbv-200 ido/24 game king.  accepts bills ok, however if it happens to reject it, the transporter tries to spit it back, however the motor in the head will not start and send it the rest of the way out.  have to open transporter and pull crumpled/folded bill out.

haven't had this problem before, wondering if it's a quick fix, or junk the head and replace.

I cant remember if there is a anti-stinging device close to the head I know one exists but I think its 1/3 to 1/2 way between head and cash can.
IF bill it in transport sorta folded up some then I suspect like the anti-stringing device did nor move out of the way on bill rejection.

Bad transport,
Head is GOOD....

Change the transport, Also try changing the power supply. I know it sound weird, but all communication from the head, to machine and back to transport are transmitted via the RS232 that runs through the power supply.

Usually with this problem I find it to be the transport.
I did find one machine where it was corrected with a new power supply.
The transport is not receiving conformation of a good bill from the machine. (normally it would be told to park the bill in the cash can) The lack of signal times out and the bill is rejected, but the head is not getting the signal to run backwards. The bill just jams up between the two.
