Title: Bally Code 81 will not clear. Post by: KirknDee on February 18, 2012, 04:25:31 AM I have been playing a Bally 5500 with 92000 chips in a Blasing Sevens machine for six years. I got a code 81 so I replaced the battery. Voltage now is ok but still has code 81. I have tried ram clear partial and complete using the ram clear J-10 and still just get a code 81. I believe I do not need a ram clear chip with the ME920000-F0, F1, F2, F3. The MPU board is AS-3356-201 rev-F. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. The board plug in pins look good. The battery jumper is back on the original two pins and J-10 is now set to one pin. I got the battery from Showcase slots here in Las Vegas and it is good.
Title: Re: Bally Code 81 will not clear. Post by: KirknDee on February 19, 2012, 01:13:31 AM Rechecked battery again and only got .78 volts even if it was new. Replace battery again and machine reset. Still need to get Dollar Bill acceptor working.
