Title: Question about the RNG on a Bluebird Slot Post by: Captain Hook on February 19, 2012, 03:51:14 AM If it is true that the outcome of a spin on a slot is determined by the RNG and that number is chosen the moment that you hit the Spin button then is it true that if you hit the stop button and force the reels to stop that they are going to stop in the same order they would have stopped if you had just let the game play out??? If so I would suppose this must also be true on other brands of slot also correct???
Just asking to see if there is any benefit in waiting for the reels to stop by themselves or forcing them to stop faster by repeatedly hitting the Spin button. Of course this makes you lose (or Win) faster I guess. Stopping the reels early does not change the outcome -- it just speeds up the display of the decision that was already determined. Save for a few rare slots that have skill-based bonuses (the short-lived Pong and Breakout slots come to mind), there is no skill involved in playing a slot machine, and no benefit or detriment to stopping the reels early (other than speeding up the process, which will ultimately lead you to losing your bankroll faster).

There is a theme (who's name I can not recall... 'Count money' I think) with like a cartoonish Dracula theme that I believe you can consistently stop the first reel on the bonus symbol. This game in particular has a slow reel spin but only allows you to stop the first reel unlike the all stop at once when you hit the button feature. I think that in this instance that the rng decision may be made when the first reel is stopped... Now I am not sure about this but I don't see how it could let you affect the outcome of the first reel without making the determination later and basing the remaining stops on the first reels stop.
