Title: Bally Game maker no sound
Post by: slots4home on January 24, 2009, 04:15:24 PM
I have a Bally Game maker with no sound. When the game comes up it says " copy rite Bally Gaming all rights reserved" but no sound after that.
I have adjusted the volume control knob but still no sound.
Help

Darell,

We need ya to dance :138- a little more. Model #, type(upright, slant, bar). Did it ever work for you? Have you tried the sound test in diagnostics? Probably a simple fix.

I this a multi game?  the copyright is from the deluxe sound board that has it's own volume controll, which is used on stand alone games.  I'm pretty sure you need to disconnect the deluxe sound and hook the regular sound to the speaker for multi games.

I will try to look at mine when i get a chance to dig it out.

Thanks,
Wayne

Wayne is correct. If you are using it as a multi-game setup then the deluxe sound board will not help you. It is used for the dedicated games like Boxcar Bonus, Cash Encounters, etc. then you would have to put in the sound eprom on the deluxe sound board for that particular game.

If the machine is multigame  then Switch 2 on DIPswitch 2 should be in the OFF position.  That DIP controls whether you use the deluxe sound board or normal sound.  You can still use normal sound on a dedicated game but you loose all the good sounds that are specific to the game.
